For the first time in nearly seven decades, South Western City Schools today will be introducing a new district logo, namesake, and tagline - providing a modern update to a time-tested and robust educational standard across our 33 schools.
Over the last seven months, we worked to assemble a comprehensive, community-sourced Brand Steering Committee made up of parents from all four high school feeder systems, the South Western Career Academy, the PTA, the South Western Educational Foundation, along with city and township representatives to unpack and shepherd this important work. Our end goal was to develop a revitalized logo that unified our district while also honoring that neighborhood-driven feel and building identity that we have come to love and know here in South Western City Schools.

The South-Western City School District (SWCSD) is now enrolling for the 2025-2026 school year for any student who will be five years old before September 30, 2025. Whether you are a new or returning family to the district, we welcome you and are proud to partner with you on your child’s educational journey over the next 13 years.

Infinite Campus (IC) is the District’s Internet-based student information system. Important features of IC are the Parent Portal and NEW Mobile App. Through the IC tools, parents are able to access their child’s information, such as class schedules, attendance, academic reports, transportation information, coursework, and put funds in their child’s food service account online. Parents can also designate how and where they wish to receive emergency communications, attendance calls, general announcement messages, and e-mail messages from teachers, the school, and the school district. New accounts need an activation key. The district will be mailing those out in August, so save the letter if you need to create a new account.

SWCSD employs substitute teachers, aides, custodians, cooks, secretaries, and bus drivers to serve our students. The substitute role is is an important and vital role in the efficient operation of a school district. The continuation of the educational process is vital to the success of our students. Substitute teaching can be an ideal way to supplement your income while setting your own schedule. Improve your classroom skills as you try out different schools, grade levels and instructional methods. After proving your abilities as a substitute, you may even be offered a full-time job.
