Transportation Procedures

Please remember the day starts at 7:50 am for those who joining us for breakfast. No child should be on school grounds before that time. The bell rings to enter the classroom at 8:05 am and the tardy bell rings at 8:20 am. All students should be in the classroom and ready to learn at that time.

Transportation changes should be made through the office prior to 1pm and in writing. No changes will be made without communication with the office. Because we have over 500 students to get safely to their destination, consistency is key. Predictability is critical. Ideally, students should have one routine to get home each day to avoid confusion.

Our day ends at 2:40 pm. Bus riders exit the North door, car riders exit the front of the building, while walkers exit the back thru the cafeteria. ALL CAR RIDERS should meet their rides in the front of the building. Any student who exits the cafeteria to a waiting vehicle is not following the established routines set in place for safety. Getting into a vehicle in the back lot is not permitted as it can interrupt the traffic flow causing accidents with cars exiting the established traffic pattern or be dangerous to students who are walking. These patterns are set in place for supervision and safety of your child. Please comply with the established routines.

Bus Rider 24-25 Transportation Opt In/Out

As the District continues summer transportation planning to maximize route efficiencies, we are in need of your help! Now through August 1 (5 p.m. deadline), the district is asking all families to complete our new PK-10th grade Transportation Opt-in/Opt-out Form.

2024-2025 PK-10th Grade Transportation Opt In/Out Form - ENGLISH

2024-2025 PK-10th Grade Transportation Opt In/Out Form - SPANISH

2024-2025 PK-10th Grade Transportation Opt In/Out Form - SOMALI

By collaborating with families to collect more accurate counts of which students plan to use the bus during the 2024-2025 school year, we can create more precise seating charts, ensure accurate ridership counts (avoiding partially unfilled buses), and maximize routing efficiencies to reduce travel times across our fleet.

Your assistance in our summer planning is greatly appreciated and will help us improve our transportation services for all students!
